Logo Challenge Day 20: National Park
Recently I visited the Grand Canyon in Arizona, and if I took anything away from the experience, it is that National Parks are one of the most precious assets we have. When I saw this prompt I got super exited, and knew exactly what park I wanted to do, though technically it's a Canadian Provincial Park, but I think that's close enough.
Day 20: National Park Logo
Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada is a place I have been visiting since I was 8 years old. It is one of my favorite places on Earth and it has a terrible logo!
Algonquin is mainly a canoeing park with thousands of lakes and rivers to explore, so I knew that I wanted a canoe to be the main object in the logo.
The gradient of the mountains is definitely modern and trendy, but the logo still works in solid color and in black and white outline, which would be used for park patches. The logo can be both trendy and evergreen with one simple change.
Algonquin means so much to me, and I was ecstatic to take on this challenge. The logo gives me a sense of peace that I get when I travel there.
I may continue to play with this one and create a few mockups with letterhead and patches!
