Logo Challenge Day 38: University

Nowadays there is a lot of tension when it comes to talking about higher education as a business, but a university logo is important for more than just marketing. 

Day 38: University Logo

College is a scary, amazing part of many lives, and lots of people want to display the pride they feel for the place that gave them their degree. I wanted to make this logo modern, and regal at the same time.

I used one of the suggested names (Allen Academy) and pulled elements from classic university logos, most specifically a sheild.

The end result evokes the heritage and history of a great institution of learning while being current and visually interesting.

I could definitely see this logo on a flag hanging in a dirty dorm room!
